Matin Makhtoumi is an Iranian actor whose journey on stage and screen began at the age of seven. Mentored by masters Ghotbeddin Sadeghi, Mohammad Charmshir, Shahram Mokri, Saeed Kazemian, and currently collaborating with Sajjad Yari, Matin has developed a nuanced, emotionally precise style, captivating audiences with his magnetic stillness and compelling presence.
His theater work includes the award-winning performance in One is Missing at the Children’s Theater Festival (Kanoon), Officer Hanke in The Visit, and the critically acclaimed role in The Red Dragon, recognized by UNIMA for its impact. On screen, he portrayed the Chinese merchant in Salman Farsi and earned a Berlinale Talents Honorary Diploma for Hidden Wounds.
Matin’s artistry is defined by depth, intensity, and a rare ability to inhabit complex characters, bridging the worlds of stage and film with authenticity and emotional resonance.
